The power of sound is part of a new paradigm for healing.

The western medical field is now recognizing how sound can compliment traditional western medicine and through newly developed techniques we are beginning to show concrete scientific facts of its ability to do so. As a professional musician I have seen for decades how music and the element of sound can powerfully affect listeners and their environment. Sound, especially crystal bowls, has the ability to help us into a state of relaxation that allows the body to step out of the daily “fight and flight” mode created with 21st century living. Within a theta brain state our nervous system can relax, heal, and rebalance. This theta state becomes a doorway for healing on many levels- physically, emotionally, mentally, and even spiritually.

I have been composing and performing professionally for over 30 years. Classically trained in piano performance with an eclectic background in R&B, funk, fusion, rock, jazz, pop, new age, and experimental. I currently record, perform, and collaborate through Alchymie. Alchymie explores sound as a way to provide multidimensional well-being, create community, and open discussions about the power of sound in our world today. I continue to follow Alchymie in music, searching for the beauty that is transformation.
